Per-Hive tuning

Not every Hive needs the same scrutiny. A security-sensitive auth service may want every Drone running strictly, while a docs-only Hive needs almost none. SwarmADE lets you tune Drones per Hive so the review loop matches the work.

What you can tune

Enable or disable individual Drones for a Hive. A disabled Drone is never dispatched, so you do not pay Honey for it on that Hive.
Minimum severity per Drone — hide findings below a chosen level so the noisiest Drones stay quiet. This is a view filter: the Drone still runs and its findings are still recorded for auditability.
Promote or demote findings — for example, promote a Drone’s error findings to critical so they cross the blocking threshold and trigger a retry, or demote a noisy category to advisory.

How settings merge

Effective settings for a Hive are resolved by merging three layers, with each layer overriding the one before it:


system defaults  →  user defaults  →  Hive overrides

System defaults ship with SwarmADE. Your account-wide user defaults override them, and a specific Hive’s overrides win over everything. A Hive that sets nothing simply inherits your user defaults; a user default that sets nothing inherits the system defaults.

Settings are applied at dispatch time. A change you make now affects the next task; tasks already in flight use the settings captured when they were dispatched, so you never get a mid-review surprise.

Plan gating

How many Drones you can run depends on your plan. Starter includes 1 Drone of your choice. Pro and Ultra include all 8 (Ultra adds priority routing). Tuning controls how your available Drones behave; your plan controls how many you have.

How to tune a Drone in a Hive

Open the Hive’s Drone settings

Go to the Hive and open its Drone settings tab.

Pick the Drone

Select the Drone you want to adjust from the eight cards.

Enable or disable it

Toggle the Drone on or off for this Hive. Disabling it stops dispatch and Honey spend for that Drone here.

Set its minimum severity

Choose the lowest severity you want surfaced. Findings below it are hidden but still recorded.

Promote or demote findings

Optionally raise a finding’s severity to make it blocking, or lower it to make it advisory.

Save

Save the override. It takes effect on the next dispatched task and wins over your user and system defaults.
